RICHARD GLENN CORD

The Managing Director of Kensington Taylor – a Chartered Architect who has worked with the Practice since 1995.

During that time he has covered a wide range of successful projects from residential to hotels, schools and stadia covering a wide geographical area. His detailed knowledge of the “Building Schools for the Future” initiative ensured a successful delivery of £24m new Secondary School as well as designing the new developments at Sandy Park for the Exeter Chiefs as well as other prominent Professional Sporting venues in the South West. Richard oversees and maintains the confidence of all of our clients.

JOHN RICHARD LEES

DIP ARCH RIBA

The Chairman of Kensington Taylor – a Chartered Architect who joined Kensington Taylor 12 years ago following periods of working in London and Canada. His extensive experience in Education and Health underwrites Kensington Taylor’s reputation.

His detailed approach at the Briefing Stage reinforces client confidence and produces successful solutions – a philosophy he has followed throughout his career.

ROSS HUNT

DIP ARCH RIBA

An Associate Director of Kensington Taylor – Ross has worked on a number of award winning education and heritage/arts projects over the past 15 years with particular experience in working with local authority clients across the south of England.

He has experience in a wide range of projects with a particular specialism primary, secondary and special education projects.

Ross brings a high level of experience to the team. He is attentive to the requirements of both client and user, responsive to change and has a careful attention to detail.

BRIAN NORMAN MELHUISH

MCIAT

A Director of Kensington Taylor – Charted Architectural Technologist who has practised within the West Country throughout his working life. Having worked on most types of buildings and embraced numerous different construction methods, his wealth of experience is unquestionable.

He is responsible for Quality Control and the financial health of the Practice.

ANDREW CHAPLIN

DIP ARCH (Dist)  RIBA

Andrew joined Kensington Taylor in 2003 after 18 years in London at pedigree practices, becoming an Associate in 2004 and Associate Director in 2005.

He has significant experience across all work stages on offices, schools, large scale housing, student accommodation, public works, airports, business parks and industrial parks. Andrew has a keen interest in environmental issues, context and site history as design generators.

Recent projects include, Paignton public library, Kings Ash school, an Autism teaching unit and the Isles of Scilly airport.

Andrew has acted as a professional examiner at the University of Plymouth and RIBA North West.
