Client:    Torquay Academy

Following on from the £25 million new build of Torquay Academy (formerly Torquay Community College), Kensington Taylor Architects were invited back to the Academy to reconfigure part of the first floor plan to accommodate three new laboratories.

The £200,000 project brief was clear & precise to which Kensington Taylor developed & designed contemporary laboratories which overall increased the Academy’s laboratory numbers from 5 to 8.

Head teacher, Steve Margetts, said: “The labs opened on time and there was no negative impact on the running of the school during the construction. We are delighted with the new facilities which support the students’ learning.”
